PWM fan choice (Akasa Apache), and how can I make that work with a H100?

Hi all.

Firstly, I've been looking for a decent PWM fan which:

* Is quiet
* Is capable of high airflow and high static pressure (gonna be intake fans behind a filter)
* Is PWM controlled (duh)

After some serious browsin and googlin, I've come to the conclusion that the best pick is the Akasa Apache. I don't normally consider Akasa to be a premium, high-end product but by all accounts at 16dB(A) and 2.6 static pressure (I forget the units) it seems like the right choice. So, are they as good as they say?

Also, the H100 has a PWM slot on the pump to control the 2 fans on the cooler. Can I stick a splitter in there (5 way) and then drive the 2 CPU fans from that, and the 3 intake fans from the remaining 3 PWM out 4 pin connectors?

Ta!

Srsly?

Nobody with an opinion of the Akasa Apache vs the rest of the market?

On paper, it's got a performance which handily spanks every other PWM fan in the market.

Shabumply.

Can I plug a PWM splitter into the pump fan slot on the H100 and then use that PWM signal to drive the case and radiator fans?

The H100 has 4 fan plugs on the block itself, with a plug in for the Corsair Link module. It will use the PWM fans the same way it would any other fan plugged into it. It will throttle them up and down based on the profile you select with the button on the block.

Dont know much about the performance compared to others, frankly its not that serious to me.

Using a splitter would probably work, but they will react to the profile of the block.
