NEED HELP!! Will my New CPU work In my MObO?

Hi there, i need some help, im looking to buy this cpu asap and as soon as someone can give me a definate answer ill pull the trigger.

I just need to know if these two items will work together. Ive got a link to both items and a link to a list of compatable CPU's/ mine is on the list im just trying to make sure im not missing something.. Thank you in advance.

My Motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813135314

My "Soon to be Processor" (Replacing an FX-4100 Bulldoser): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113284
-this is the new piledriver platform. Still the FX series and still a 125Watt Chip like the Mobo Supports.

Here is the compatable List i found.. The last entry for FX is the FX-8350Box as shown in the link:
http://www.cpu-upgrade.com/mb-ECS/A960M-M2%28V1.0%29.html

Motherboards Specs As far as CPU:

Specifications:

CPU
Supports AMD AM3+ FX™/Phenom™ II/Athlon™ II/Sempron™ 100 Series
Support 125W AM3+ FX™/ Phenom™ II X6 processors
High-performance HyperTransport 3.0 CPU Interface
Note: This board supports CPU up to 125W TDP ; you can refer to AMD website to check your CPU.

CHIPSET
AMD® 760G & AMD® SB710
North Bridge: AMD® 760G
South Bridge: AMD® SB710

Thanks for your time and helping me pull the trigger on this. I think the two will work together just fine but someone told me yesterday they thing it wont cuz its a new chip design. i disagree, but would like to her someone else think the same thing. If this motherboard doesnt support it, please link one that does, thank you.

As long as you're on BIOS '12/21/2011' It should work right out the box smile.gif

Both the motherboard and the processor have socket AM3+ which means that they will work together just fine, although I have never heard of the manufacturer of the motherboard. It will be a good idea to save some more money and get a better motherboard IMO.

Yes it will work fine with the BIOS update.

you can grab an 8320 and save some cash.

Its an ECS, their basically an OEM, that decided to go into the custom world.

I think that would be quite a nice board, as the heatsink is pretty beastly, and can probably OC that 8 core monster well

All im trying to do is have Xplit not cap my processor at 100% Load all day lol. So hoping one of these new processors will help with that. This link here shows where i got the information on what processor id like to buy, and this AMD, witch, i wish i could go intel, just not enough money.. Anyways, this AMD is there flagship, so i mean, it cant suck that bad ... right?

And if i can accomplish this with the next step down i don't see why not.. this is where i got my data on price /Performance

ALSO, CAN SOMEONE LINK WHERE I GET THE UPDATED BIOS IF I DON'T HAVE THEM?

I would go with the 8320. It is the same thing as an 8350 just comes with a lower clock speed out of the box. If you are going to overclock anyway you might as well just buy the 8320 and save some cash.
