Advice Gaming/Editing Rig for ~$1000 (3770k vs 4770k?)

Poll Results: Just as a basic question, which is a better value for me to get, the 3770k or the new 4770k? I'd appreciate posts though explaining why and what the differences are though

Approximate Purchase Date: Sometime next few weeks

Budget Range: Around $1000, could spend more or less depending on if it's worth it or not.

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Video Editing (Adobe Premiere/AE/Blender), Tf2 (200+ fps, need a powerful cpu since the game is not very gpu bound), metro, crysis, farcry, etc

Are you buying a monitor: Already have one

Parts to Upgrade: New build, so everything

Do you need to buy OS: Nope

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Any online store, Microcenter (easily accessable for in store deals ie cpu mobo bundles, etc)

Location: Boston ma

Parts Preferences: Am leaning towards the i7 3770k or 4770k, but could go amd if it is actually faster

Overclocking: Yes, but not essential.

SLI or Crossfire: No (not yet at least)

Your Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080

Additional Comments: Need lots of ram for rendering, probably 16gb. Would prefer an SSD for boot and a few select games (would 60gb be able to hold windows + After effects/premiere + Steam/Tf2?). Already have a few hard drives but might end up buying another. Don't care about color scheme
Was thinking of either a noctuo dh14 or a h100i.

Cases:
Fractal Design Define R4
Cooler master cm690
Pretty much anything, Not quite up to date with stuff haha.

Here's a list that I'm thinking of right now, but TOTALLY open to people building other ones, total noob at this myself.

Case: Fractal Design Define R4 Windowed - $109.99 @ Newegg.com
Mobo: ASRock Z87 Extreme6 - $134.99 (in-store combo) @ Microcenter
CPU: Intel Core i7 4770K - $279.99 (in-store combo) @ Microcenter
Cooler: CORSAIR Hydro Series H110 Water Cooler - $109.99 @ Newegg.com
Ram: G.SKILL Sniper Series 8GB SDRAM DDR3 2133 - $67.50 @ Newegg.com
SSD: SanDisk Extreme SSD 120 GB - $102.98 @ Amazon.com
Storage: WD Blue 1 TB Desktop Hard Drive - $62.99 @ Amazon.com
PSU: SeaSonic G Series 550W 80+ GOLD Certified Modular PSU - $79.99 @ Amazon.com
GPU: Sapphire Radeon HD 7970 3GB Video Card - $298.50 @ Newegg.com

Total: $1246.92

Know it's a little more than your build but you are ending up with a lot better parts in the end. Nicer case, better motherboard. Faster memory. Equally as fast SSD, along with a storage drive. Better cooler for Haswell. Solid PSU, a nicer quality unit. Same video card, because it's a nice deal.
