I7 4960X Extreme Edition/ - $500 (Bristol,VA)
I7 4960X Extreme Edition/ r. This is the newest and fastest Gaming CPU in existence . I paid 1400 Cash for this chip.....Asking 475 Picked Up, or 500 Shipped...I'm located in Bristol,VA..... I also have a 3960x for 350 Picked Up or 375 Shipped....

Both of these chips retail for over 1000 Dollars

I have sent an email requesting pictures and to learn more about when he could ship me a 4960x for $500....

Seems totally legit. The only part of this I believe is that both of these chips retail for over 1000 dollars.

But who knows...

Let you know what I find out.

PLEASE NO ONE ACTUALLY PURSUE THIS CRAIGLIST AD- IT IS MOST DEFINATELY FALSE AS THE 4960X IS NOT OUT YET. IT ALSO MAY BE ILLEGAL TO PURCHASE THIS AS IF IT DOES IN FACT EXIST IT WOULD BE AN ENGINEERING SAMPLE AND POSSIBLY STOLEN PROPERTY OF INTEL. I AM DOING SO ONLY TO SEE IF I GET A RESPONSE. YOU SHOULD ONLY BUY ON CRAIGSLIST IN PERSON.

If he was just selling the 3960x for 350, it would be tempting for someone who lived local, but selling the 4960x for 500 makes the entire thing very shady. The 3960 still makes me ask questions about why so low of a price, but at least its available for purchase.

I don't think I would EVER pay for something shipped from a Craigslist seller. What, you give him money, then he...doesn't ship out anything to you? Lol. Theirs no Craigslist Police Force to watch your back. If he's offering to ship it out, he may as well put them on EBAY also.

The whole thing is so shady it made me laugh. If he does respond I would want a picture of his Drivers License, him holding the proc next to a newspaper, a letter stating where he got it, and a pony.
Then I would think about sending some cash to him.

Rule of thumb for me in local only, cash only.

You also want to stick to a public place, middle of the day, near a police station if possible. Nothing like getting mugged and left for dead over $600 dollars.

^Happened to my wife's co-worker's brother-in-law as he was going to look at a dirt bike that didn't exist. He was pistol whipped and stabbed.

I am not brave enough for Craigslist.

This. Too many stories about people getting robbed trying to sell a phone or laptop in a dark parking lot.
