Weird temperature on my watercooled GTX690

Hi guys, I have some concern about my current setup. Recently, I just finished my new build on Corsair 350D case. Just amazed how perfect is this case in terms of size for watercooling setup considering of its small form factor. Just done with bleeding for 24 hours. I was quite happy with the cpu temperature, idling around 25C and keep under 50C max overload. However, the concern is for my GTX 690. This is my first time watercool a graphic card and although it keeps my gpu cooler than before (on stock heatsink), but the main concern is the temperature for GPU1 is higher than GPU2. Both gpus stay around 25C idle but when I was running the Unigine benchmark, GPU1 went to about 70C max and GPU2 around 45C max! That was surprisingly HUGE difference! (around 25C!). I use Koolance GTX690 and as far as I remember, I was really careful when I installed the waterblock in order to make sure everything is in contact. I just don't have any idea how does that happen. All I can think of is about the thermal pads. I applied 0.5mm thick thermal pads for all the DRAMs but that was what recommended though! (by people in forum of course). I really don't plan to pull everything out and reapply them at the moment (considering how lengthy the process is) but I just wanna make sure if its just normal or at least fine enough for now.

EDIT: Moreover, there is still microbubbles in my loop, so I hope when they all gone, it will helps the temperature a little bit. *Crossfinger*

Here is my full setup:
i7-2600k @4.8Ghz
Asus Maximus V gene
Kingston Blu 8gb 1600Mhz
Gtx690 with Koolance waterblock
2x EX240 rads (one in push pull/one in just pull configuration)
XSPC reservoir+laing ddc pump combo.

Bump for opinions.

simply re-seat your block, sounds like a contact issue.
Even with micro bubbles, your temperature shouldn't be that high on GPU1. Reseat your block and see what happens. Be sure to tighten the screws in a figure-8 type pattern for even pressure.

Btw, I love the green in your build. thumb.gif

Any idea on how to property seat the block? I knew this problem is common to dual gpu card. I just wanna make sure that I do it right for the 2nd time. Can't afford 3rd time though especially with my tight schedule.

Thanks for the compliment thumb.gif

this can also be a sensor malfunction, i have had this happen to me with my 3960x. changed board drivers and upgraded bios fixed it all. just a small speculation for you to consider redface.gif

Im not sure if youre still having the problem because its been a week but are all the screws tightened enough? I know when I had my 680 under water the idle would be around 30 degrees but when it was under load it shot up to 70 degrees. I checked my screws and noticed 1 was a little loose (only 1 full turn to completely tighten it) and my temperatures now only get up in the 50s under load. So maybe you have a loose screw or something near that gpu.
