Kone XTD Mouse hurting me hand

Hi all,

I previously had a Corsair M60 mouse which seems great, not the best mouse and definitely not the worst, two things it had right for me were ergonomics for my hand and a good build quality. As my M60 has started to get worn however I decided to buy a Kone XTD as many people were praising the mouse. I really like the look of the mouse the software and all the features are great however it would seem that it hurts my hand to use it over time. I never had anything like this from the M60 but it starts to hurt my hand towards my little finger and also directly in the middle of the mouse as this is not supported by the mouse. I use the claw grip on the mouse but if anything it feels like my hand may just not be big enough for this mouse.

Any recommendations on a new mouse, I can go for maybe a M95 but I fancied a change from that but I'm not sure what to go for? I really like the 4D mousewheel on the Kone XTD as its handy to map buttons to also.

Thanks for looking

Sorry, cant think of any 4d wheel good for claw grip.

Kone series is very much for palm grip. The smaller Kone Pure might be suitable for some ppl claw griping but the XTD should be as you also experienced be too big for that..

The Logitech G9x has a 4D wheel and a clawgrip body. It has been discontinued though so you may have to hunt for it.

Ended up taking the XTD back today and picked up a Razer Deathadder, I know that Razer do take a lot of heat but I have read in plenty of places that for ergonomics that the Deathadder is great. So far it feels wrong as hell but it isn't hurting my hand which is nice. Hoping that my hand will adjust over the coming days and I can get used to it.

Update,

So it looks as though the Deathadder will also be making its way back tomorrow, it is just a little too big for my hand. I am struggling to reach the scroll wheel easily and it feels a little to long for me. I would say that my palms are quite big but my fingers aren't massively long. I can feel accurate and ok while gaming with the Deathadder but its just a bit too big.

Looking on Youtube there are plenty of videos of the Pure and it looks like more for my size hands, especially for use with the claw grip
