My matrix is overclocked to 1250mhz, but my monitor is a 120hz 1440p panel...and i have no problems feeding the monitor on every game outside of the extreme cutting edge@ultra settings

very happy with the 7970, 760 should match it (at least) just fine

Try Metro 2033 or Metro Last Light a 7970 cant max those games in 1440P

Or Hitman Absolution and Sleeping Dogs take a hell of a lot of GPU power as well at 1440P

even a titan struggles at that rez. so, when i see someone recommend the 760 over the 7950, especially if that person 'owns' a 7970 . . .

Ya the only reason id recommend a 760 over a 7970 now is cuz it SLI's better, and i think probably quieter/less power hungry for the same price.

Absolution/Sleeping Dogs run fine at 120hz/1440 - same boat as the games i mentioned, tweak some settings AA/HBAO and its easily 90fps+

When i ran those games i didnt get a sense of it being GPU demanding like Farcry 3 was...

Turning off AA/HBAO gives you some HUGE performance gains for single gpu setups
