[First Build] CM HAF 932 : Update 8-4

Hey everyone! I would first like to thank you for viewing my post! I wanted to share my Cooler Master HAF 932 mod with OCN! I'm about half way through already, and I'm about to begin my water loop. I didn't know about work logs and everything when I started my mod, I just took random photos at random times not paying alot of attention. I wish I had a more detailed set of pictures to show exactly how I went about doing my mods. Well live and learn, my next log will be much more detailed and Ill be trying to finish this one off that way. Ill be happy to answer any questions.

Update links:
Update 8-4 : http://www.overclock.net/t/1414269/first-build-cm-haf-932-update-8-4#post_20542738

My components are as follows:
*CPU: Intel 3930k 6-Core LGA 2011
*CPU Cooler: Corsair H80i
*MB: Asus Rampage IV Exreme
*RAM: 8 Gb Corsair @ 1600Mhz
*GPU: 2x Evga 480 GTX in SLI
*PSU: Thermaltake Toughpower 1050W
*SSD: Samsung 840 Pro 256 Gb
*HDD: WD 10000 rpm Raptor 140 Gb
*OPTICAL: LG Bluray Burner
*Case: Cooler Master HAF 932 *Modified

* Custom water loop in progress, my next update will be the log of my install *

I think that's a decent set of close ups on the important things. Definitely still a work in progress but its coming along. Next update should be a juicy set of water loop install photos! Until then enjoy and thanks again for checking out my mods!

Nifty! I wish I had the budget to do a build like this. It looks very well done and I hope to see more like this from you! thumb.gif

Love the workmanship on this! Although there is just one thing bugging me. The handle you have at the top. Its a HAF Case and thus has a "Rugged" look to it. That handle looks flimsy and just does not do the case justice IMO. How about something like the following?

I think the Black one would fit the case design better.

Thanks for the insight, you are definitely right, I wasn't really feeling it either, its only there to be able to lift the red panel that covers the fill port hidden under it for the water loop.It is only for aesthetics. I just had it laying around and tossed it on there for now. Ill most likely change it as I install the water system. TBH all I need is the head of a screw to be able to pick up the panel. I may just thread in some short 10-24 black SHCS like the ones holding the interior acrylic together. Or pick up a more rugged handle.

Hey guys, did some work over the last week for a little update. Moneys tight trying to keep busy until next paycheck and I can buy all my water loop parts and finish this up. In the mean time I ordered some things from Frozencpu.com. I did get a reservoir but I'm going to be sending it back because the UV was too much of a pink color for my build. I picked up some thumb screws to replace my flaky handle on the fill port panel. Also grabbed a little wire sleeve for the CPU power wires to get some white in there. I also took some scrap acrylic and made some trim for the wire holes and tidied them up a bit. Lastly, I added some white trim to the acrylic edges inside instead of the red, I had too off set the red wire hole trim.

Here are some photos of what I was doing this last week, hope you like!

Not a ton of work added but it sure cleaned up the interior quite a bit. I am jsut trying to stay busy while waiting on my next paycheck to buy my water parts and memory upgrade. After the loop and memory is in it will be complete until I either sell it or save up for some 780 gtx hydro coppers. Once it is to the pre-GPU point I can start my next project that I already have a ton of ideas for. You can look forward to a new update on this project either next weekend or the weekend or the weekend after. thumb.gif

I gotta say that I really like that cable management hole trim that you did. That looks down right sweet!

Thanks bud!thumb.gif It ended up being quite a bit more tedious than I had originally thought, but it was totally worth it.
