Z77X-UP5 Questions

Well, i got a very good offer on this mobo, and since i wanted to use the Intel iGPU to dedicate my GPU's to BOINC, i pulled the trigger on it. I love the way it looks, ever since Gigabyte used blue PCB's on almost all of their mobos they never caught my eye until now. Overall, it has been a very good upgrade from my P67 Extreme4.

I have some questions about it though, since this is my first GB mobo and i want to get the most out of it.

- I've read there are some issues when OCing the Samsung WonderRAM sticks, is this still true?
- How good (or bad) is vdroop? What level should be used when OCing?
- Is there any gain on swapping the WiFi/BT PCIE card with another one, like the Intel Centrino 6235?
- Which is the best BIOS for OCing both RAM and CPU?
- Can you force a Sandy chip to run 8x/4x/4x? For some odd reason, i can do that on my i3-3220 which is PCI-E 2.0.
- Why do the frontal USB 2.0 ports do not work under Windows but work on the BIOS? The back 2.0 ports work very well.
- Is it normal that my mouse works backwards in the BIOS? When i move it up, the cursor goes down and viceversa.

Samsung RAM overclocking was improved in BETAs.

Vdroop is Intel spec, so it's on every board. LLC is very good for compensating it. Turbo is what recommended for GB.

Other WiFi cards could be faster. You have to try. IIRC the one included is 2x2.

Try latest beta from here.

Nobody yet confirmed 8/4/4 on Sandy. Would be appreciated if you do. In theory it should work.

Front USB 2.0 ports on my UD5H which is very similar to UP5 in that aspect work just fine. Not sure.

Some mice still don't work properly in the BIOS.

Thanks for the answer.

I got another question, what devices can i disable so the UEFI loads faster? It takes roughly 8-10 seconds for the computer to turn on until Windows loads, while my old P67 mobo loaded in 4-5 seconds. I have already disabled the Marvell SATAIII controller, what else could i check?
