Thread Starter

Hey all just want to introduce myself. My name is Chris and I been around the boards for awhile. Mostly just reading and learning but this will be about my 4th build and really want to do an in dept build log for this one since I'm putting a ton of work in on this one. I do allot of heavy CAD work as well as allot com computational stuff with FEA so I wanted to make a computer that could handle all of this as well as gaming which I play almost anything and everything but really like FPS's the most. So I'll just get right to it,

Parts list:

CPU: 3960x
Mobo: Asus Rog Maximum IV Extreme
Memory:64 GB of Corsair vengeance low profile with red heat sinks ( i know this is extreme but my OCD needed to fill all 8 slots of the mobo)
GPU: GTX Titan
SSD: 2 x 128 GB
HDD: 1 x 1.5 TB
Case: Custom Laserwerx
Cables: Custom by Lutro0
Water Cooling Bits:
Alphacool Monsta 3x120 x 2
EK Full coverage Titan Block
EK HF Cpu Block
EK Full Coverage Mobo Block
2 x DDC Pump
Dual Bay Dual pump XSPC Res
Pastel Red Mayhem Coolant

So tonight I finally got some time to start work, the case that I had Laserwerx make for me comes in tomorrow so I thought I would get everything prepped for it, but I do have some pics of the case to give everyone a sneak peek.

Unboxing,

Im going to be using 6 each of these for each Rad in a push pull format since the rads are so thick,

Rad box, just wait till I unpack this thing, I thought it was big but you dont get an appreciation for just how big until you unpack it,

All the waterblocks just ready to rock,

First things first, I decided to prep the pumps into the Bay res to get ready for the case,

Next I decided to start work on the mobo which the big part of was installing the EK mobo block, I have been super impressed by EK's build quality and cant wait to see it with some mayhem coolant running through it,

Had to remove the stock heatsink and clean up the southbridge,

Then I unboxed the EK block and went to work,

Now that that was done I moved on to the titan, which as I said before I'm using a full coverage nickel block to match both the CPU block and mobo block. I really like the finish on there new nickel blocks,

Last thing for the night I decided to go ahead and put on half the fans on the rads and sleeve them white to go with the white red and black theme I have going,

Tomorrow the case it supposed to come from UPS so tomorrow should be a big day for updates as I really get to take everything I prepped today and let it start taking form in the case, But just to give you a preview, I got some pics from Laserwerx once the case was finished before shipment,

But thats all for today, let me know any thoughts you guys have about the build or any tips for the upcoming acrylic bending that's about to ensue,

Thanks,

CT
