Why do mouse mats go bad so fast for me? - Page 2

Spending more on mouse pad / mat don't mean quality or anything. Have a 8 dollar fellowes microban with gel wristwrest pad and I' been using it .... 3 years maybe longer with very minor color loss where my fingers ride on side of mouse. Does have a couple dr pepper stains to. Something is definitely wrong somewhere if you are grinding one down in a few weeks. Skids / Feet sound like the culprit. Especially if you can / think you can hear more than a light swishing sound when mouse is moving around. Anything different than that and you are grinding somewhere.

It seems like the sticker on the bottom of the mouse got totally flatten. Would that be a problem?

Can't imagine a sticker would do it. And it should be flat it shouldn't be bumpy.

I used to go through mouse pads like crazy too until I got the one in my sig rig. Hard plastic surface so all I have to do is wipe it clean once in a while. I don't even have the teflon pads on the bottom of my mouse any longer and it still glides perfectly. Stupid idea by Logitech and other companies to put screws underneath the pads so you can't take your mouse apart without ruining the glides.

Sounds like it. Check out the link I posted above about where you can get replacement feet.
