You should post your system under your profile so we can see your parts.

I put my rig into my profile, however I don't know how to make it show as an expandable list in the thread. Can you tell me how to do that?

Anyway, my whole cooling setup should change by the weekend. I've ordered (from various resellers) the following:
XSPC Photon 170 D5 pump/rez combo,
2 @ Alphacool 280mm ST30 Rads (front and top of case),
4 @ NZXT FX-140 PWM fans, they're loud but I already had them,
XSPC Raystorm CPU block,
XSPC Razer r9-290x GPU block,
Along with some 1/2 x 3/4" tubing, a bunch of compression fittings, distilled water, silver killcoil, etc...

This will be my first foray into anything water, besides the CLC I've used before. I like the Kraken x60, but in summer/fall it just can't cool enough on this 9370. It ran great for the 3770k that I had before, but we know the TDP is much lower on that.

My experience with AMD this time around is smoother than the corresponding Intel CPU that I had, I'm happy with it.

Anyway, Johan45, I was able to OC my CPU, with everything stock, except upping the ratio to run @ 5ghz on the Kraken x60, and temps were around 40 C. However, like I said, it's cold here today.

40 is great and even a 15 degree increase isn't bad for ambients. You really should be fine. You're really not going to get much more for a daily clock any way the voltage will just get too high.Everything will change when you have a good loop. You'll basically have to start over anyway.

I'm back and I've finally gotten my loop up and working. Many, many setbacks have occurred, case was too small for my chosen rez, then I accidentally punctured one of my rads while screwing into the new case.

My loop is now a XSPC Photon D5 pump/res > 280mm Alphacool ST30 rad > CPU block (Raystorm) > GPU block (Razer) > XSPC AX240mm rad > res.

Temps are fantastic on the GPU (Radeon r9-290x), 55C Maxed out in furmark burn-in test! This is phenomenal!!!!! 45C max in 3dmark. Quiet too.

Temps on the CPU during Prime 95 are great as well. OC to 5ghz (just a multiplier change and Turbo off), temps max around 50C.

But, here's the bad part. My 9370 failed Prime at the OC, 3 threads stopped, so I took it back to stock and one thread (#8) failed after 20minutes.

Everything worked before the custom loop. Now what? Do I need a new CPU?

Have you tried it on bios default by hitting F5 and testing. It could be a missed setting or ram just about anything at this point.

Quick update: ran with everything defaulted in BIOS, Prime 95 stable for 7.5 hours on all 8 threads.
Max temp as reported by CoreTemp and HW Monitor was 35.9 and 36.7 respectively.

I got a warning from ASUS AI Suite though that said my +VDDA voltage was .660? Is this an issue? What causes this?

Think it's safe to start messing with overclocking?

Ya you should be just fine. I would uninstall AI Suite, it's very buggy and unstable IMO. It'll cause issues with other monitoring software and can cause overall instability. You should be fine to start OCing. Shut off all the green stuff like Cool&Quiet, C1E, C6, EPU, APM and Turbo.also enable HPC. With your loop you should be able to handle 1.5v without too much issue so I would set the voltage there to start. Go into the Digi section and set the CPU and CPUNB LLC to high, I would also set both of them to 130% for current capability. Also set the CPU_NB voltage to 1.25 for now.
Then start upping the multi I would start at 24 at that voltage and testing stability and temps until it becomes unstable. Then you'll nedd to add a bit of voltage and test again always be mindful of your temps.
