the zalman is a good cooler and honestly looks awesome. Just saying that there is a similar option for 10$ that can help with your space issues.

The AIO CLC water loops are not all that bad if you can find a good deal.

Here's a review that I just did to clear things up: http://www.overclock.net/t/1414828/lawnoobs-air-cooler-vs-aio-water-cooler-review

If you are looking for something small, the Cooler Master Vortex Plus will definitely do the job. You can see some hi-res photos of it in the second post biggrin.gif

I haven't tested the cooling of that yet, I'll do that in a week because currently I don't have a power hungry CPU at my disposal.

Hope I helped thumb.gif

Edit: Oh and btw, my Zalman is bigger than the 212 evo, and has 1 more heatpipe, so it cools better as well. At the same time, the H50 and H60 beats the Zalman when using the same fan configuration.

Edit 2: Here's a link to the newegg page: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103084&Tpk=cooler%20master%20vortex

Only costs $26, and it is less than 10cm tall with the fan installed.

Thread Starter
well, i ended up buying the H80. I had an amazon gift card i had to use, so i ended up getting a hefty discount anyways. not 10 dollars cheap, but still a huge discount off of the normal.

Thanks for the help guys. If you hadnt have asked, i probably never would have measured my distance to the graphics card, and ended up with something that didnt fit.

sure you do "car radiators" have them and undergo far more testing than cpu coolers. The cooler the motor, the better the gas mileage, the more they can charge for gas without an uproar, step 4....., step 5=profit.thumb.gif

To op. You will not be disappointed with a h80 under normal overclocks:p

not really. blower style fan designs have high static pressure but low CFM relatively speaking. they also make HUGE noises. for a H80, all you need is something like a scythe GT for good cooling performance and low noise levels.
