you can overclock but DON'T INCREASE VCORE because your mobo wont last long. overclock in bios by increasing CPU multiplier until the system becomes unstable(test using prime95). open CPU-Z while running p95 to see if your cpu is throttling back. IF the cpu is throttling back updating your bios may help. overclocking by only increasing the cpu multiplier is safe.

Thanks all for the help. It seems to be stable at 4.0Ghz at around 48'c. I might try a little higher when i get my new cooler.

Yes OP. You're not hearing us right. You're being limited by your motherboard, not so much so as CPU temperatures yet.
