Agreed but id put the odds at something like 7 to 3 hornet with same pilot skills at stock configs. The 325A isnt going to be an air superiority fighter imo but should be a great fighter bomber in the right config.

Im a FPS gamer at heart, but the only MMO that caught my eye was the Infinity-Universe, many will remember the demo of the engine in 2010.
I was so fascinated about the Procedural Galaxy/solar systems/planets, that you could fly and explore, the ultimate space experience in my mind. They are still working on it and planning a Kickstarter.

Without reading through their website of a mess, is this Star Citizen game only *PEW PEW* guns in space at all given time, or can I enter planets, explore/mine for material?
How big is the space, or maps, however the game will render the systems?

Hornet also has significantly stronger maneuvering thrusters because of this. The 300 series is faster than the Hornet, the Hornet can run circles around the 300 series in tight quarters.

Planets will only be specified landing zones. They're going for handcrafted quality universe, meaning they're not doing procedural generation on any decent scale. They've committed to ~110 systems for launch, and they've said when they add new systems that they're not telling people they're added, they'll need to be discovered.

They've said atmospheric flight is something they want to do, but it's not a sound use of resources before launch.

not its not just a pew pew game, although that part looks very interesting. Its kind of based around every aspect driving the pew pew though. The world will be one big open area that is constantly expending without limit and you can drive across it without a loading screen but it would take years:p. Thats why there is jump points, which will be a loading screen kinda deal from what i understand. There will be a huge emphasis on expanding the economy and exploring new uncharted areas iso rich new fieldsto mine and technologies to exploit along with the pew pew at any given time. I believe that planets will be a load scene as well since it would take along time to even make one that is thoroughly explorable with rich content. They will probably be restrictive as well for reason stated above, but you can still run your business from them. I think it was said that after launch that we would be able to own and control the entire side of the production of good aspect of the game, mining, refining, building and selling/transporting.

Again, if your craft is heavier even if you have stronger thrusters it'll not turn in space as quickly as you'd think. You first have to counter the delta v plus your mass. Hence why I say that a lighter craft with smaller thrusters can and should run circles around a heavier one. KSP has ruined me.

You're not the only one that plays KSP.

A 300 series is much larger than the Hornet, with double the cargo capacity in addition to actual walking space on board. The hornet is just a cockpit inside.

Hornet has 10% higher mass but significantly stronger (> 10%) maneuvering thrusters in addition to an articulated main thruster.

The 300 series is designed with speed in mind.
