@OP It's possible, there has been reseach into cells as storage mediums, but I'll bet they'd be more unreliable, as cells can die. Who knows where tech will go in 1000 years, assuming it (and we) still exist. There was the announcment the other day on here about resistive RAM - http://www.overclock.net/t/1416200/crazyengineers-resistive-ram-can-write-20x-faster-than-nand-store-1-tb-on-a-single-chip/0_50

but I'll bet it'll get leapfrogged 50 times with newer technology if development continues for 1000 years. Who knows?

If we could all see in the future, we'd all be millionaires (anyone got next weeks lottery numbers?? biggrin.gif )
