Just started yesterday, got 19 running on it now.

Still working on four more. Having motherboard and driver issues with the last one.

An Asrock X11 it keeps crashing and rebooting and locking up.

I just reinstalled windows after a HD wipe (7/64) now solely running Boinc. going to see if there are updated drivers/bios for it and do some of the windows updates hopefully to get it stable.
If not, I think I'm going to rebuild it into a more stable platform based upon an FX8350. (I already have the MSI 990fx MB for it)

Which means I'll have an 4930K for sale I guess. I'll combine it with the two MSI GTX 780 gamers I'll never use again to finance it.

Ugh, the life of a Boinc cruncher biggrin.gif

Collatz is down again.

Tried to switch back to Poem, but their servers are borked and need a reboot.

So I'm back on Moo for a while I guess.

Anyone know why Collatz doesn't allow more than 200 wu's in cache? that's only an hour and a half's worth of work for me. (probably server load issues)

I prefer at least a three day supply. (but I guess I'll take what they give)

Crunchin on.

poem appears to be back up. We could use your help while you wait for collatz. Gridcoin appears to have renewed their efforts on poem.

Well, all 21 scribes are now scribbling away.... thumb.gif

Happy to do it while collatz is down, it's just the server handling registrations was obviously borked and wouldn't allow me on. rolleyes.gif.....

Back to Collatz again, this time I left Poem on the machines just turned off so it will be easier to restart next time. redface.gif

GC's overtake is back out at 75 days, when it starts getting closer again I'll switch over and crunch some more. thumb.gif

I'm here to support the team as much as I can.

Also Blackhawk 1 will probably be going down this weekend for rebuilding, seems like the X-11 has blown a plex chip and only allows two cards to run now.

Gonna change it before it completely blows up.

Nearing OOW status, when empty will switch to Poem....

Usually it comes back online in less than 24 hours, so hopefully you have enough tasks to feed the beasts until it's back online.

It goes down sometimes for 18 to 28 hours. I only get about 200 WU per machine, less than an hours worth of work.

I have Boinc set to get ten days worth but it only maintains a 200 WU buffer. server side limitation I believe

I average 13,500 WU's per day. That is a ton of communication with the server and thence a plethora of entries into the DB.

He uses MYSQL, which requires that the DB completely reside in memory. it can't swap out like most of the others can. so on the weekends, when usage is high, the DB fills up memory till it crashes and needs to be flushed. which usually happens after he gets home from work on Monday.

It's also the reason that every year during hunting season, Collatz will go down for over a week at a time while he is chasing the trophy buck and at home the DB crashed.

A year and a half ago I lost over 50 million points to a hunting season crash. It's why I quit running it.

Currently on Poem.

Collatz is almost not worth it. (frustration talking)
