Probably going to lose a spot and drop back to #6 tomorrow. GC is only 7.1 million behind and has been putting out more than 9+ million than we have per day.

It was a good run I guess....

My new fans arrived today, but they aren't going to make a difference, by the time I get the other GPU's up and running they will be by us...

Nobody can.

They are only 142,000 behind us now so I guess on the next update it's over.

Fired up collatz on the new EVGA SC 1070. WUs were running at about 61 seconds at 1935-1949 mhz. Since it takes like 2 seconds from WU end to WU start and that's close to an hour a day of nothing, I started running dual WUs at once so there is no drop in GPU utilization. Each WU is completing at around 1:51 to 1:55 min:sec so that seems like a good efficiency benefit. Times reported show a benefit as well.

From what I see in the chart, your running singles at 60-63 seconds a WU, doubles at 84-89 seconds a WU.

With very little CPU time. If your GPU capacity is below 97% I would try running a third and see what that gets ya.

Your getting two work units in the time it takes to do one and a third singly. that's a HUGE efficiency increase.

Would like to know more.

What the measured GPU load is, the voltage and core clocks, the processor number of cores and usage...

GPU utilization was at 99% at both 1 WU and 2x WUs. I just ran 2x to fill the gap between WUs. MSI Afterburner had 2 full points at 0% at 1sec intervals so at least 2 seconds of nothing. 61+ second WUs and 2+ seconds of nothing. Just filling that up is a decent gain.

Run time is more than 86s though. 115 seconds so almost double.

That sound about right. it's a small step up from a 980Ti at a significant power and heat savings. and a step above the Fiji chips. a step below a 7990 still, (2 WU in 90 seconds) but the power and heat savings will pay for the upgrade in a year.

Now I just need to get both the 1070 and 970 both running BOINC.

There are 3 displays shown in desktop setup with 1 real monitor. Monitor plugged into the 970. I don't like this as windows end up on the other fake displays with no monitor.
