Thoughts? Budget Home / Family PC Build

Thread Starter
Parent's Pentium 4 machine was on the way out. I decided its time to build them a new computer. By salvaging parts here and there, some from my previous build, getting a new case and PSU, and heck even using the HDD from their broken laptop (the only SATA HDD that was lying around)... I managed to build them a new desktop from the ground up!

Would love to hear your thoughts smile.gif Please comment, rate and subscribe! I'd really appreciate it!

I did what I could with the limited budget I had. In other words, keep it as cheap as possible, as requested by Dad. Modular PSUs, never mind quality PSUs, are not available in my area. Cost of shipping even a semi-good CX430 is around $75, everything else in the range of $100.

By "before parts" I presume you mean the previous computer prior to this build... that's actually a good idea! Gives the viewers much better insight as to what we were upgrading from... don't know why I didn't think of that, thanks!
