4-way Sli Motherboard(LGA 1156)

Thread Starter
So my sister recently upgraded from her i7 860 to a 3770k and she left me with her 860 since she knows nothing about PC's. Even though i just bought a i5 2500k i would like to build a second PC with the 860. Since GTX 295's are cheap(and fit the era rolleyes.gif) i was wondering what motherboards are out there that can support 4-way sli.

Thanks OCN,
VonLeon

There's nothing new in 1156, maybe somewhere...

I would assume that any board capable of SLI would support 2-card 4way SLI. I may be wrong though.

You would have to find a used one if the current board doesn't support SLI.

I'm pretty sure that its none. I don't think any 1156 boards supported 4 way sli. Maybe quad sli, but not 4way. The boards that had nf200 chips could do 3 way sli, iirc, but not 4 way.

Those would include the already mentioned

EVGA P55 classy
EVGA P55 FTW nf200
MSI Big bang trinergy

and maybe an asus ws board or maximus 3 extreme.

Ooops doh.gif i totally meant quad sli not 4 way. That would be the reason i was having no luck with google.

I'd say the vast majority of boards supported SLI, which would support quad with a pair of 295's. I think some of the very basic entry level boards ran 16x/4x or something like that and didn't support SLI.
