Rosewill Neutron? Any thoughts?

Hey everyone, just stumbled upon this case that was revealed in Computex 2013, and I feel like it's almost the perfect case for me. Pair it up with a Maximus VI Impact or something, and you could get a beastly mITX rig.

I actually think this is better than the Bitfenix Prodigy.

I just saw this, because I recently bought the Asus Maximus VI Impact and other parts to build a nice gaming mini-itx rig, and was looking at cases. I'm temporarily housing it all in a Cooler Master Elite 120 as soon as my parts show up, but I'm still in the market for something that would allow better temps.

Saw this case, and it seems to have everything I'm looking for. Full size PSU support, tall CPU cooler support, air flow!!, full size GPU support and fans galore.

I think I've found the case I've been looking for, wish it would come out already!

Only thing that concerns me is that there is no vent on the front of the case, so wouldn't that impede airflow to the front intake fan? Not sure where that fan is supposed to be getting air from... Hopefully they decide to drill some holes or something on the front cover before they release it.

I personally don't like the Bitfenix Prodigy. It looks really ugly to me, especially with those bendy handles on the top and bottom. Not to mention it only takes a PSU up to 160mm, which is kind of unforgivable considering the size of that case, seems like they didn't plan it out or something.

It's kind of like the Bitfenix Prodigy white. It's said that there are air vents on the side of the front, in a frame like shape. You just can't see them.

Oh yeah, I understand that there are vents on the front, but I don't think that is good enough. It's still impeding a lot of potential airflow. If you look at the Cooler Master Elite 120 it had the same problem. The vented front pretty much made air flow non-existent even though there was a fan trying to pull air in. They fixed this problem in the Elite 130, by putting a mesh on the front instead. I hope Rosewill changes the design and does the same before release, something along the lines of the Cooler Master N200 would be nice.

Speaking of cooler master, the Cooler Master HAF Stacker 915F, which is supposed to be coming out by the end of this year looks great as well and quite a bit more compact than the Rosewill. Although it probably won't allow for all the water cooling options...

I'm a huge advocate for less 5.25" drives but in this form factor it would have been nice to see 2 so you could have a pump/bay res

Eh, I'm ok with the cooler master cases, but I prefer those super compact tower cases. Just look much better to me.

When can I get my hands on this thing?

Here's the response I got from Rosewill in november.

Do you have a release date for the neutron? I would really like to use it for my next build.

Hi Sam. Neutron is still cooking in our lab. It might be ready Q1 of 2014.

So we have this being released and the new Corsair ITX in Q1 2014!

Well if both come out, I'd actually want a corsair one, as I've been an avid fan of their products for a while now. smile.gif
