As far as flashing in Windows goes, you cannot flash UEFI to that board in Windows. Just an FYI. Unless things have changed since I last checked...

Thanks. I've been told a GPU BIOS flash might help, but I'm going to try this first. GB has a way to update it from within windows as far as I can see.

It seems the general consensus is what you've said, as long as I set it to RAID before the software sees it/W7 boots I'll be fine. Might just unplug my SSD to be safe.

Updating the BIOS may reset your OC and settings, so you need to check the BIOS/UEFI before as soon as you restart the PC to check you are in RAID mode, it is recommended you always flash from stock. Although I have flashed my Gigabyte board from within Windows with an overclock and all my settings were fine, the @BIOS updater program seems like a good piece of kit.

Looks like Dilyn answered that.
I'm not sure if booting into AHCI would actually break the array or whether it would just fail to boot until you placed it into RAID as RAID is just a multiple drive AHCI AFAIK. I'll have a dig about and see what I can find.

Unplugging the drive might actually be the wisest decision to make here. Why did I not think of that.

I have no overclock or anything anyhow, I don't have a pen drive on me but I think I'm going to burn a CD-R and use the DOS flash utility with all drives unplugged. Low risk

Thanks for the help. smile.gif

Edit: Have an SD card + card reader I'll use. Going to use QFlash, off we go, wish me luck! tongue.gif

I was going to post that, but you beat me to it. That would be the best way so the raid won't get messed up. thumb.gif

Thanks guys, biggrin.gif

Used QFlash, worked great (had all my drives unplugged), then reconfigured in the BIOS, powered off and plugged in all drives and it started up fine, RAID intact. Card is awesome. wheee.gif

Thanks for all the help everyone, greatly appreciated as always. smile.gif
