Strange core temp - Page 3

CalinTM, Under the lid of your CPU is a big blop of TIM and is the interface between the actual processors and the 'lid' . This was put in place at the factory and as such, accuracy of the TIM placement and quality of the TIM may vary.

Unless you de-lid the processor, which Im not sure you can do, your temp variables will not be able to changed.

All you can do to effect the temps is what you have already done. Sometimes, its as good as it gets.

Calibrating the CPUs thermal sensor, how is that possible ?

I've enabled even C-States, and the temps is showing 40 degrees in idle. So something is fishy.
I will remove the extra 8gb of ram, to see what happenes.

I wish you luck in finding your problem. thumb.gif

By manually inputting the core temp offset in a program like Realtemp. Realtemp offers a cpu DTS sensor test that will show you the range of sensitivity and overall effecitveness of the chips built in digital thermal sensors. Any core sensors that have limited movement can be corrected for by manually inputting the temperature offset in realtemps advanced calibration settings.

(Sorry for the delayed response!)
