Fingertip/Claw Grip Mice?

Thread Starter
I'm building a new system, and so far the hardest component decision is the mouse! I just cannot decide on one...

I need:
-Fingertip/Claw grip compatible
-at LEAST two programmable buttons, thumb buttons preferred
-good build quality/solid feel
-do NOT need on-the-fly dpi buttons...but if it does have them I'd prefer them to be programmable to do something else
-good, reliable configuration software

I have had a couple of Razers in the past, and they were pretty but both performed poorly (cursor jumping around uncontrollably or just not moving at all). IF you can convince me that Razer has improved quality in the past few years I'll consider one...

I'm not a heavy FPS gamer...well, I guess Skyrim and the upcoming ElderScrolls MMO might be considered an FPS (first-person-sword/spell)..

What do y'all think?

i am a fingertip gripper and i use the rat7 and feel like its perfect. good build quality, etc.
two programmable clickable buttons for the thumb, and then a scroll wheel near the thumb that could i guess be two more buttons if you made up one selection and down another.
also, i feel like the shorter more square fat body is good for fingertip and i love the weight of the mouse.

I fingertip Deathadder (3.0) and SS Sensei comfortably.

You may not... it depends and you will have to try it yourself.

If you can fingertip a DA your hand must be gigantic lol. Strictly for a claw/fingertip mouse I'd argue that the Taipan or Krait (if you can get one) is a better choice than the DA. Alternatively you can try the Steelseries offers like Kinzu v2, Kana and Sensei, or the CM Spawn/Xornet.

Maybe a Savu.

Avago 3090, good build quality, reprogrammable buttons, and it's pretty small and light.

Only bad thing is the thumb rest - for claw it's okay, but for fingertip it kind of digs into your thumb and gets annoying.

The Logitech G9 and the Corsair M40/60/65 are really comfortable to me. Each have 2-3 thumb buttons, and I know for sure the G9 can reprogram the sensitivity buttons to anything else. Not sure on the Corsair mice.

Awesome replies, thanks all!

I do like the Logitech brand, but maybe it's time I try something new...I MIGHT give Razer another go, I tried their mice when they were just hitting mainstream, maybe build quality has improved with market share.
