Watercooling parts list, Final check

Thread Starter
About to order parts for my first watercooling loop, this will be cooling a 2500k and a gtx 780, sli in a couple of weeks. My plans are using nb eloops 1500 rpm versions at as low speeds as possible. I've read quite alot of threads about watercooling but wanted to check before i pull the trigger.

Swiftech 8 Way PWM Splitter - 8W-PWM-SPL
Bitspower Water Tank Z-Multi 250 - POM BP-WTZM250P-BK
3x Mayhems Pastel - Blue Berry
4x Primochill PrimoFlex LRT Advanced hose 16/10 mm - Crystal Clear 1m
14x 10MM (3/8 ID - 5/8 OD) Bitspower compressions fittings and various angled fittings.
Alphacool Laing D5 Vario Pump
Alphacool HF 1/4" D5 TOP - Black Acetal
2x Alphacool NexXxoS UT60 Full Copper 360mm
XSPC RayStorm CPU WaterBlock
EK FC Titan SE / GTX 780 Full Cover Waterblock Copper Acetal, with backplate
Caselabs SM8

I also have a question about the drain, i was planning on getting a T-fitting and adding a valve just before the pump inlent (lowest point in the system), will i have any problems with flow or anything else placing it here?

Did i miss anything or are there any better options, all critique welcome.

Maybe I'm miscounting, but I only count you needing 10 fittings, unless you just want extra/flexibility.

You may not need that much Mayhem Pastel either. 3 bottles is almost a gallon of fluid, which is way more than you need.

Other than that, everything looks good.

If i counted right im going to need 12 fittings, got 2 extra for drain/fillport. And about the liquid ive really got no idea how much i need for this build, would i be ok with 2 litres ?

The rads are very thick for low rpm. If it's low noise you're after, you would be better off with 45mm or below, or run those fans at full.

I would go with distilled water and colored tubing instead of dye.

As for the drain port, I never use one as it's very simple to just screw a fitting out and hold a cup underneath to drain the loop. Keeps things cleaner looking too.

nvm you're right. You would probably be fine with 2L of pastel.

I also just realized, Mayhem doesn't recommend using pastel with Primochill tubing, so you might want to consider changing one of those. Check Mayhems website for the compatibility list.

Thanks for the info, just spent an hour reading the mayhems thread and it seems that it was the old primochill tubing, but maybe i'm misinterpreting.

From the pastel faq PrimoChill PrimoFlex Advanced LRT Working, Tygon E1000 Working. "DEHP" free tubing is recommended for use with Mayhems pastel coolants.

But the thygon tubing seems to soft for my taste.

It still says here that it isn't compatible, but maybe that's just out of date. Of course, I only spent 2 minutes looking that up, so you probably know more about it than I do now thumb.gif

I'd personally stay safe and get XSPC, Thermochill, Clear Flex, or Masterclear, but that's up to you.
