With how the high end cards are price ridiculously high, and the mid end cards priced ridiculously low, beating or matching AMD's 79** series (GTX 760 and 670 are $250 - $330 and beating it or matching it both in performance), AMD will have no choice to price low or pull out a gargantuan amount of performance out of 28 nm, which really isn't that possible when they would want to price it low. I doubt the 9970 will be more than $450-500, if its any more, it has to match or beat the 780.

I'm not going to buy 18 month old tech 2 months before a new series rolls out. I'm not spending $600+ Canadian Dollars for 7950 XFire 60 days before a potentially substantial gain in what may be available for those same $600+ dollars. If nothing else I'll wait just to see what the new NS Bundle includes (BF4?).

As far as I am aware, tech of tomorrow on Youtube whom is a amd partner for reviews said it would be 20 nm?
So I assume the 3 years with 7000 series was worth it, since it being 20 nm would make it outperform anything currently in GeForce's arsenal. When we talk up comming 9970 from amd.
