I plan to put a Silverstone FM121 in my Tuniq Tower within the next couple days. How much do you think it will drop my CPU temps?

Should I have my 2nd FM121 sucking air in through the front, or blowing air out the back?

What else could I do to lower temps?

I am also considering selling this E6600 and getting a Xeon 3060, how do those overclock compared to E6600's?

If those are TAT temps, and...

the ambient temperature is around 17C, I would say "Yes" - a little high.

If the Ambient temperature is higher, say around 24C I would say that is fairly good.

Optimum cooling on air ought to have a 120 up front for intake, and a 120 on the rear for exhaust.

Are you using aftermarket cooling? If so what cooler?

What kind of TIC did you use?
Have you allowed for the full cure-time of the TIC?

Lapping the HSF will help. Basically look to these factors:

Airflow through the case
Surface area of the HS
Airflow accross the surface area of the HS
Thermal conductive properties of the mated surfaces (smoothness)
Ample (safe) pressure between the surfaces

Looks like syrillian has it covered. For full load, those are alright....safe i mean, but they shoudl be lower

I have a Tuniq Tower that I plan to put a FM121 in. How much do you think that will drop the temps?

I have a FM121 in the front of my machine sucking air in to balance the airflow, should it be blowing air out the back?

I used Artic Silver 5 and followed the new instructions on the website. I have no idea how long it has been on there, but probably over 100 hours I think.

Do I understand you correctly when I interpret that you are using the Tuniq in a passive state (no fan)? If that is the case, you are golden. A 120 on that Beast/Beauty will help tremendously. I did a small test awhile back on my Noctua. I regret that I can not recall the numbers... sorry. But it should be at least 5C.

If you have a single 120, then use it as an exhaust for now, but get a second for intake.

You are indeed correct on the cure-time.

Here is the fan situation.
I have a Thermaltake Armor:
2 92 mm Thermaltake 56 CFM Blowing Air Out
1 120mm Silverstone FN121 53 CFM Blowing Out Exhaust
1 120mm Silverstone FM121 110 CFM Sucking Air in the Front
1 25cm Thermaltake 60 CFM Sucking Air in the Side
1 Stock Tuniq Tower Fan in the Tuniq Tower, I think it does 50-60CFM

How much do u think temps will drop when I replace the 50-60 CFM Stock Tuniq fan with a FM121 110 CFM fan?

Sorry... I don't want to speculate too much on the temp drop.

IMHO you have enough cfm at the moment... maybe too much of the worng type? Meaning, try without the side fan. It might be causing turbulence.
