I think I just did something really dumb

Thread Starter
So I was trying to change the location of some of my users folders under their properties from my SSD to my HDD and I ended up having my HDD listed under "My Videos" folder. Is there any way to undo this? As you can see it's not listed under my SSD anymore but rather my HDD is listed under 'My Videos".

Right-click on the library and select properties. You can edit the sources that are collected into the library in the window that pops up. There's a button to remove a location you've selected.

But the "My Videos" folder is no longer listed under my SSD. Where did it go? How can reset its location?

Look at the properties of the other libraries like "Pictures" etc. The videos library was set up very similar. Compare what you see in the other libraries and you'll find the folder you've thrown out of the videos library by mistake and can add it again. I'd guess you have to add "C:\Users\YOUR-USER-NAME\My Videos" as that seems to be the one entry that's missing.

Type: shell:userfilesfolder in the search bar in the start menu, a window will open with all your default library folders. Right click on video=>location=>edit to whatever folder you wish

I guess the folder no longer exists? And is my HDD supposed to be listed under that?

I guess you moved it away or deleted it... Look in the Recycle Bin and do a search on Computer to find it again, then move it back to that folder you now made a screenshot of.

Yeah it's nowhere to be found. I guess once the location was changed it disappeared. Thanks for the help though guys!

I've seen this happen many, many times when redirecting Windows 7 userdata folders like My Pictures and My Documents, especially if you redirect and then try to reset the default location. The libraries are a very fragile, touchy part of the OS.
