Any reason for the Soundblaster Z? The NewEgg reviews don't look so promising, seems like a lot of people have driver issues. Everything else looks good to me.

Read a few reviews on it and it seemed pretty promising from what I read, and as an added bonus fits the colour scheme. Open to suggestions though, preferably something not over $200 and from the same website as the rest of my stuff

edit: speakers I currently have are Logitech z506's looking to upgrade at some stage and I'm using astro a40's as my headset

I would recommend holding out on the Creative Z sound card. There has been various reports of overly loud gains from the amp.

http://forums.creative.com/showthread.php?t=699841

Perhaps it is a bit wiser right now to hold off on a soundcard depending on what you plan to do. Since you only own an Astro A40 I don't think you would benefit much from a soundcard upgrade and probably better off with the onboard. Unless you plan to get some better headsets and do most of your listening through headphones then I can't recommend any soundcards. But if you do decide to get a better headset you can go with the Xonar DG or DGX.

As for 5.1 speakers I would hold off on them and do some research. I'm still running old Logitech X-530 speakers they don't sound as good. Those Klipsch 5.1 were amazing sounding but those are discontinued. Last desktop audio speakers I heard got really popular were the Swan M10's and the website you're ordering from has Swan M60's. I'm sure the M60's are not in the budget, and the Swan M10's are 2.1 so you might not want that if you want to keep a 5.1 system.

Thanks for the input, after reading thtough that thread i think i will hold off on the sound blaster z. Sorry i wasn't clearer in my edit lol, i meant i already have z506's and will be looking to upgrade further towards then end of the year/early next year. Are there any card's you could recommend that would be worth while? I really don't know a whole lot about the sound side of things, but have heard that the VI extreme has terrible onboard sound which is whats leaning me towards wanting one.

Okay sorry for double post but i've edited my wishlist quite a bit

https://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=wish_lists&wlcId=26682&action=wish_lists

Here it is now, i've changed the ram to g-skill trident, bit cheaper and its 2133mhz over the vengeance which was 1866mhz
I've already added a seasonic xp-1000 for my psu instead of using my old hx-1050 which i can now leave in my current sig
