getting compatible ram for my 1366.

Thread Starter
it seems the original hyperx is no longer being produced, which is what i have,

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=5286077

i'm thinking of getting this,

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820104127&RandomID=85112108297918020130803062107

would there be any issues i would run into?

i dont overclock much anymore, however that doesn't mean im never doing it again, i would probably bump it up to 1600mhz.

You are very likely to have issues as the kits have different speeds and density.
If you're lucky, you could get them to run at DDR3-1600 together but I somehow see selling old ones as a better solution.

If you look around you can find sets of triple channel memory used for pretty cheap. I bought my first set of 3x2gb Dominators off Newegg, then found another identical set on the marketplace here for $30 maybe a year ago. I wouldnt be surprised if someone was selling a triple channel set right now.
