I'm going after 10 points in Cinebench R11.5 muti.

The CPUs have to be unlocked, i7-3820 is the only exception.

The CPUs must be from LGA1155, LGA 1150, or LGA2011 (3820).

I will be using watercooling. Might delid if necessary.

Even if you are too lazy to post, please vote, that would help a lot smile.gif

Edit: For who ever voted for Haswell i7, it would take a long time before an used one to come that cheap thumb.gif

Well, cb 11.5 benefits from HT so you are looking at i7 territory only. Just take a look at their performance ranking on that bench and scout the market for a few weeks to get the strongest available for that price.

I was thinking that delided haswell i5s might break 10 points, but I guess you are right.

My main focus will now be the i7-2600K and the i7-3820, thanks smile.gif

3820 if you can find one used for $200, it will be a beast especially with quad channel memory and a good o/c - otherwise a 2600k that can hit 5+ would help thumb.gif

As everyone else says, i7 2600k or an 3820, I'd personally go for the 2600k as it will be difficult to find the 3820, well it is in the UK anyway. The 2600k here is still £200+ which is a good thing for me... I guess tongue.gif

You will need to get a 2600k/3820 that does at least 5.1Ghz + (5.2Ghz should get 10 points for sure), or a 3770k that does at least 4.9 - 5Ghz.

Thanks guys.

I figured that an Ivy-E might be worth the wait, since Ivy has slight IPC upgrade over Sandy, and the IHS is soldered.

What do you think?
