They recommend fans to use with their fan controllers and from what I recall it was mostly NZXT fans.
I'm all about their budget cases and some of their other cases but I would stray away from their peripherals.
I would say get the recommended fans or return/sell it.
Alright, thanks for the information. I'm using Cooler Master fans on the controller. First, I have a CM Hyper N520 CPU cooler with two fans hooked up to a splitter that goes into one output on the fan controller, and both fans seem to make a hideous buzzing noise, which does not sound too much unlike a high-pitched creaking door. It is not very loud, but I can still hear it a little bit right now as I type, and I can hear it very
clearly when I open the side panel. I also have two 120mm CM fans hooked up to the next two separate outputs on the fan controller, and these make a far less audible noise that I can only hear if I get very, very close to the fans in question...if that was all I had to put up with, I probably wouldn't have noticed until later.
All in all, I guess I'm going to go ahead and return it. Perhaps you would like to recommend me a good fan controller? I'd like at least 4 controls (I'm using 3 right now), and the more it fits with my XION XON-560 Black case, the better.Edited by racecar56 - 8/5/13 at 10:05pm
