Ah cool, does it work for fat32? he formats all his hard drives to it lol

One of the greens is working, its super quiet tho is that normal? never used the greens before

EDIT: downloaded testdisk now how do I tell which 1TBs mine and which ones the external?

why would he format all his drives to FAT32, it makes no sense lol

Yes it works for FAT32

To tell which is your and his, go to disk management and see what the disk # if your drives are.

EDIT: after 3 hours of testing in enclosures only 1 seems to work, next step put them in a computer and see if they work that way?

I would give that a shot. If you are getting spin up and spin down, the drive is not getting enough power from the enclosure. This is usually because of a inadequate power supply for the enclosure.

Also, R-Studio would have been the first thing I would have done if an enclosure worked thumb.gif I just grab the data off, throw it onto my raid, format the drive, put back onto the drive and go to the next.

Yeah well ones spinning up and down but another ones doing that and clicking which everytime that happens it ends in a dead HDD

I would do that but my friend is really particular about how his drives are set up, Im only ment to check them and try to get them running then when he calls back in again I'll just give them to him so he can back them up or whatever lol

I would have still did my method.
