If it's main purpose is gaming then perhaps an i5 would be plenty. What do the rest of you think? HT has been know to cause issues with certain titles.

Its a good choice.

But the 4770K is £120 more then a 3570K. Use the 120 on a better GPU and see better gaming performance.

4770K + 770 vs 3570K + 780 = Winner 3570K+780 IN GAMING but its still a solid build.
