It works but goes orange when you try to write to it. Before I formatted it it would go orange when you tried to read from it. It just happened yesterday, windows kept crashing after a few minutes and then it would not start at all. I looked at the drive and the light was orange. I unplugged the power cord, looked at it, nothing was wrong so I plugged it back in. The light went green I started up windows and a few minutes later it froze again. I went through this several times before I decided enough was enough and I went to reinstall windows.... During the reinstall before it even got to 1% the drive light turned orange. several hours later I have wiped it and it no longer will work for storage. Does anyone have a solution, want to buy it for parts, anything?

Do you have Crystal disc? You can see what the health & life cycle is.
