[Q] Kindle Fire stuck on kindle fire logo

I don't know much about android devices. My brother rooted my mother's kindle fire a while ago and installed Cyanogenmod.

My mother did something to the device and now it is stuck on the kindle fire logo, which says "kindle fire." From what I can understand, the batteries went low on the device, so she put it to charge. A while later she unplugged it and hit the power button, then "TWRP" menu came up. My sister tried to help her and that's where it went on the boot screen. I believe my sister tried to reboot it from TWRP and hit "Recovery."

-Now the device is charging well, but slowly (I don't know if it's usually like this). Battery Level is currently at 85%.
-There is TWRP v2.2.2.1 that I can access when I try to boot up the device.
-I cannot access the files on Windows 7.
-I have installed the drivers properly using "Kindle_Fire_Utility_v0.9.6."

I don't know what else to do, any ideas?

stuck on fire logo? Go to recovery and clear data (it could also be called factory data in recovery mode) + cache smile.gif (you dont really need to clear the cache but I do tongue.gif)

How to boot into recovery mode:

During bootloader splash screen (blue Kindle logo), press Power repeatedly to open boot menu and move selection from Normal Boot to Recovery.

You need to make a factory cable to access the bootloader easier. I used to have a kindle fire. That cable made it much easier.

I don't see a "clear data" option on the TWRP menu. The main options are Install, Backup, Restore, Wipe---Cache..., Mount, Settings, Advanced, and Reboot---System, Power Off, Recovery, Bootloader.

What data is being cleared by the way and what does that do? I don't want to remove any pictures or other files my mom has on the kindle.

If you can get into TWRP you can use adb to push a rom onto it, something like
Code:
adb push romname.zip /sdcard/

Then you can flash it using TWRP.

I also recommend installing the firefirefire bootloader so you don't have to muck about with factory cables.
