Combined wireless + wired not same speed.

I'm not very well experienced in networking, so bear with me. But here's my question:

I have a USB Dual-Band Wireless N stick that I use for wireless internet and also a Ethernet port on my motherboard. For some reason, when I connect both Ethernet and wireless at the same time, my internet speed goes down. I assumed both wireless and wired at the same time would be faster, but apparently that's not the case.

The router I'm using is the Netgear R6300, and I have a 5Ghz wireless network called "NETWORKR", as well as a separate main 2.5Ghz network called "NETGEAR09". So when I have both wireless and wired, it shows that I'm connected to two different (yet the same) networks simultaneously. But I just don't understand why my speeds go down when connected to both, as opposed to just one. With just wireless alone, the speeds are at 35-45Mbps, but with both wired and wireless I only get 25-30Mbps. Not sure why that happens... can anyone give me any possible reasons?

(The top speedtest is for both networks at the same time, and the bottom speedtest is for only wireless)

Windows only uses one or the other. The wireless and wired isn't teamed.

And even then, the Internet connection wouldn't saturate a 100mbps wired solution.

So, in other words, the NETGEAR09 supercedes NETWORKR when connected together. That makes more sense. Even though I have access to both separate networks, the internet speed is based on only one (which, in this case is wired).

I'd recommend disconnecting from wireless networks when you have the wired Ethernet in, that should give you the best speed.

Surprisingly, with Ethernet I get the same 25-30Mbps but with dual-band wireless I get 35-45Mbps. I just thought connecting to both at the same time would be better, but I guess it is pretty pointless.
