Hi guys,

I have a 3770k since release, spring 2012. Recently I just bought a nh d14 with 2 noctua fans that are better than de stocks. I wanted to lower the temps of my CPU but they're still complete crap.

Stock, abiant temp 25C
Voltage; 1.136V
Min temp; 36C
Max temp; 63C

I've tried to reseat my cooler 2 times already, only got it 1C lower. My neighbor have the same setup as me and never break 50C. Do I have a really bad chip?

Well, you can't say bad but a different chip. To help ease your thoughts about having a bad chip, you can de-lid.

Im scared to scrap my chip if I de-lid. Guess I'll keep it that way. I guess these temps aren't that bad for the CPU anyway

I hit mine with a hammer five times and it shot across the floor three of those five times. Trust me, they can take a beating. smile.gif
