Hi everyone, I was curious about knowing people experiences with playing on a projector, I was wondering what's its like playing on it instead of big monitors? is it enjoyable good experience? is it worth to get? because Im about to build a rig and thought instead of monitor I could get one good projector, what your suggestions would be guys? all opinions are welcome, thanks smile.gif

I would never play my games or even use a projector as a replacement for a monitor for many reasons:
1. XTREMLY low pixel density ; even with a 1080p projector
2. Needs a huge room
3. good 1080p ones can cost on upwards of $1000 dollars, at that price point its better to buy a 1440p monitor
4. Lamp lifetime are not very long.
5. higher power consumption
6. picture Quality/ Colour accuracy is WAY behind a monitor of the same price range.
7. long warm-up and cool down times
8. All high end models use cooling fans which can get loud.

I'm sure there are more downs but i cant think of them right off the top of my head
