I want a SSD under 100 euros. Any tips? - Page 2

Well the MTBF listed is 1,500,000 hours. The 840 Pro is 540 read and 520 write and it's considered to be one of the fastest SSDs out there right now. That's what most people do. They install the OS and games on their SSD and the rest they throw it in a reagular HDD.

Good job OP - you won't regret buying an SSD.

It makes loading Windows really fast (30 seconds maximum after you press "on") and all your games and applications will be very fast as well if you install them on the SSD.

Just remember: Only use about 85% of the SSD's space. Don't fill it up to the top, because apparently it needs that space for over provisioning. That way it stays quick wink.gif

And don't worry, SSDs have decent lifetimes.

I will use the SSD for Windows, windows updates, and Steam, Origin and the necessary programms like Office (for school). The 1TB HDD will then be for other stuff and games and my 320GB is for stuff I need to keep save like personal files and downloads.
