Need Microphone Help? :D

Thread Starter
Hey guys! I currently have a blue snowflake usb mic that i use for voip, streaming, and video recording and stoofs but i have one major issue with it. When i talk the mic levels in audio recording manager automatically move downward and adjusts itself as i speak. This isnt the worst thing as it helps get rid of distortion from too high levels, but the only thing is that it does not move my audio back up afterwards. So say i scream or speak loudly for a second or two. My mic levels will go down to 15 or so and then never go back up, resulting in my voice being very low and inaudible over game chat and i have to manually go into my audio manager and turn it back up. Any ideas on how to fix it? I already have 'let other applications adjust mic volume' unchecked. Thanks in advanced!

It sounds to me like there's a setting somewhere in that recording software to do that.
It's a computer!

Recommended MIC : Blue snowball but if you have a decent mic your fine lol

The program you want to use is DXTORY for video game recoding and it lets you adjust the volume of your voice with sony vegas; duel sound recoding.
If its live and your having problem with distortion then your going to need a new mic but if its not then you can record and fix it with Adobe Audition ( there are other programs that are free but that the only one I know & use lol).

Hope that helped biggrin.gif
