Thats ok I blame MYSELF more then I blame them..... I was just thinking to myself why and how this person did that to that poor motherboard!? Every fan header was so bent you couldnt even attempt to straighten them out with a knife or something, Then they obviously got a return on that product didnt they see the condition this motherboard was in?! ............ On top of it all they decided ( the last owner ) whoever that was to keep the cd chipset drivers and the cables 4 some strange reason! Why not just return the whole package right? Either way lesson learned on my behalf but i am a little suprised they would put something in that condition on there store shelfs for people like us to buy~ Thats all I wanted to say with this:thumb:
I started to PANIC once my cpu pins got bent ( on my behalf) that was my mistake, afterwards I was already so steamed I didnt even pay attention to the motherboard I was just swearing at myself up and down for even buying this thing~! Next time around or next mobo Iam gonna do things a diffrent way! Can you guys recommend the Gigabyte 990 fx ud3 motherboard? Is it better then the Asus m5a99x pro? Meaning iam mainly consirned to get x16 x16 speed. Thank you

I got really lucky and found my 970A-UD3 open box. The SATA cables were missing, but the antistatic bag the board came in was never opened. I got it for $40 back in December. I'm still excited about that. biggrin.gif

Now: if you know what you're doing, you shouldn't have had an issue. Chipset drivers aren't a huge deal, first off. Sure, you need ethernet connectivity, but you should know this and take care of that beforehand. Swapping a motherboard on a working windows install is always a bad idea.

The clearance sticker on the box should have said the item is incomplete. You get a discount exactly because of this. Some open box items are a steal if you have SATA cables, like I just said. $40 for my board!

.............. I think you missunderstood what I was trying to say, I said i picked it up by the cpu cooler not the cpu itself!~ Aftermarket cpu cooler not the stock one. I dont think you can pick up a mobo by holding it from the cpu, if u can u must have some small ass hands or lady fingers! I know i cant!
