Highest Build Quality Ultrabook

Hi,

I am looking for an aesthetic ultrabook with the following requirements for my Starbucks hipster adventures:

-Haswell
-High quality Panel (prefer IPS over ridiculous resolutions)
-Top Tier Touchpad
-Top Tier keyboard
-Top Tier build construction (aluminum/carbon construction pref.)
-Thin Bezels
-240GB SSD
-integrated graphics i.e battery life galore

Essentially I love the Macbook Air build quality however a couple things break it for me:
-EXTREMELY Thick bezels
-Mac OS...

Unfortunately it looks like my only options are:
Samsung Flagship (Ativ 9 Plus?)
Lenovo Carbon X1
Asus Zenbook Flagship (Infinity)

However I have found that almost all current generation haswell ultrabooks are using TN panels unfortunately.
I'm hoping I won't have to brush up on my mac os, really don't like it.

Not too concerned with budget as this will be a long term investment. Usage will just include web browsing, media consumption.

I will not touch HP machines in any way shape or form.

I can't tell whether you're being serious or not. Either way, the Infinity will have IPS and the new Acer Aspire S7 has IPS (1440p will be an option at some point). The current X1 doesn't really compare all that well, you'd have to wait for a Haswell refresh. A Starbucks hipster that doesn't want a Mac? I'm confused. You could also wait for the Pro refresh and only run Windows or Linux (not sure how complicated that'd be to do).

I was not aware that Zenbook will use IPS. Very happy to hear this, thank you. +1
Was kidding about the Starbucks hipster part lol. But I do enjoy the aesthetics of my hardware.

Ha, I wasn't sure if you were baiting is all. Yeah, the Infinity is said to be equipped with a '13.3-inch 2560 x 1440 capacitive touch IPS panel'. It does look fantastic. A shame we have to wait so long for it to be released. I think it'll come out with Windows 8.1 (said to improve dpi scaling). I'm torn between it and Dell's upcoming m3800. Although larger than the ones I previously mentioned (in that it's a 15 inch display) it's more of a powerhouse. Would probably suffer somewhat in the battery life department as a result though.

All the recent Macbook Pros come with BootCamp, which allows you to install Windows 7 or 8 (you need your own CD key and installation media), and you can choose whether to boot into OSX or Windows at power on. I'm actually going to try it with my rMBP soon.

I know, I actually looked into that the other day. I thought it was a viable option until I found out how bad it runs on the MBA 2013 model in particular. Kills the battery life and eats quite a bit of storage.
I just can't look at the MBA screen and not stare at the bezels which are reminiscent of a 1995 monitor. It's so.... ugly thinking.gif

Curious about the 2013 MBP though, I won't lie. Ah well, I'm not in a rush.

You'll lose a lot of storage if you use bootcamp anyway, which is why I was suggesting solely running Windows (but I think it's easier for updates to keep OS X). And yes, the battery life is atrocious when running Windows. Sort of defeats the purpose.
