HDMI - DP - DVI - VGA - Screen Tearing Consensus

Thread Starter
Just curious and wanted to post for a consensus on this topic:

Does screen tearing occur more or less with one over another - HDMI, DP, DVI, VGA ?

I've never used HDMI or DP for any of my monitors, only DVI and VGA and am seeking anyone/everyone who's done any comparisons and/or testing!

Or for any technical knowledge that may abound!

(If a poll seems appropriate, do let me know and I'll add one)

HDMI, DVI and Display port all transfer a digital signal so i would imagina they make no difference on screen tearing.

VGA however is a analog signal that can have distortions what may give some screen tearing.

I am no expert on this area, i just give my ''opinion'' so i geuss its better to wait on the monitor guru's thumb.gif

Oh I'm waiting but I feel there may not be much input on this.... I'm only curious. smile.gif

Perhaps I may have to test myself but I had really hoped someone (or more than a few people) had already been down this road.... tongue.gif
