stuttering with Battlefield 3 & Dxtory, hardware related?

I've been using Dxtory to record BF3 gameplay for a while, last week i noticed some stuttering( not really bad but very noticeable) that i've never seem to have before while recording and even when not recording, particulary when moving my mouse fast/movements. So, i started out trying a few different in-game graphical settings, no luck. Then started messing around with v-sync, still no change. I decided to roll back driver version( from 320.49 to 314.22) still didn't really notice any difference. At this point, i thought i would try a clean install of windows(with 320.49) just to see, still no change. I even did another clean install and went with 310.90 drivers just to see, still no change. At this point, i've tried so many settings till i'm running out of things to try. One thing i have noticed that seems to make a difference is my mouse settings/movements. I have a Logitech G-400 and the driver software and with some tweaking of the software settings along with in-game settings, it doesn't seem to be quite as bad. Now, with everything i've tried, i thought i would see what was happening with my GPU when playing. I downloaded MSI Afterburner and here is what my gpu is doing in game.

max temps- around 50 degrees( with 100% fan speed)
gpu usage - around 98%
1189 MHz core clock
3005 Mhz mem clock

Other things that may revelent :
*gpu and cpu are at stock settings
i use sweetfx with BF3 ( tried with it and without)
used the MarkC mouse fix and unchecked Enhance pointer precision
when recording with Dxtory i record to a seperate HDD

Any advice/ideas would be appreciated!

Out of curiousity (sorry I have no answer for your question) what kind of FPS do you get while recording usually?

Holy hell... I mean, I know a 670 is a pretty big upgrade from a 570, but still... What settings do you run on? I'm lucky to get around 60fps on high settings with OUT recording... Can't even imagine getting over 75fps while recording...

1080p,FOV 90, V-sync off, Custom "High" settings with Mesh quality on medium, 4xmsaa, AA post off, motion blur off, HBAO, anis filter x16, i also use sweetFx which is why i have AA post off!

i was getting around 80-85 fps recording just now!
