This sounds like a very good thing for us consumers

Not really useful for me personally. 32GB is the max I need now. I use Spotify for music streaming and can watch movies on Netflix. I can however see this useful for other people. For the people who have 64gb of storage or need SD cards what do you guys put on your phone? I'm curious.

HD video, like videos and movies, takes up a fairly large amount of space. Something like a season or 2 of anime in blu-ray takes up a fair chunk.

I personally use most of my storage for music. It's nice to have a large storage capacity so I can bring my whole music collection with me, which totals somewhere around 50gb at most, and 30-some when it's cut down a bit (And more later on, as I've yet to rip every CD I own.) Take a few thousand songs and put them in a high quality format, you've got a recipe for a lack of spare storage.

I hear a lot of people say "Well why don't you just put the music you want to listen to on there?"
Because I don't want to be limited in my selection. Sometimes the mood strikes for some Tchaikovsky, and though I don't listen to it frequently enough to be in my "Most Played" category, I'll still have it available on hand.

I agree with you on music, but I don't see why you would want to watch movies on a smartphone which I (think) these chips will be for and not for tablets. tongue.gif I stopped using FLAC/ALAC and just stick to 320kbps OGG streaming on Spotify, which I do believe is CD quality. I could never watch Yu Yu Hakusho (an anime) on my Galaxy S4. D: To each their own. redface.gif

Dunno how you guys could possibly be against this progress.

Don't need more space? Good for you. Doesn't hurt to have it.

Personally my 16gb SGS3 + 64GB SD card is nearly 100% full. I frequently have to temporarily uninstall and reinstall applications just to make enough room for others to update.

Don't know about why you find watching video on GS4 not enjoyable, however for me I really enjoy watching 720p anime videos on my GS4(with a kickstand case)from a distance of about 10 inches.

I just don't really see the point when I could watch it on bigger displays. Like a Nexus 7 or iPad Mini.

Well that is true, but I don't own an tablet because It couldn't fit in any of my pants' pockets. Normally I watch video on my 27" monitor, but when I am on the move the GS4 is more than good enough.
