I recently upgraded to a Gtx 770 and it runs Battlefield 3 the way it should with good performance. But when I go into MSI Afterburner the graph shows the card fluctuating between 70-90% usage, never going much above 90%. This causes my frame rate to go from 90fps all the way down to 60fps. When I go into 3dmark11 and benchmark it, it runs at 98-99% usage like you would expect it too, but yet in any game, even demanding ones like BF3, it can drop as low as 70% usage. This makes recording a challenge because the framerate is constantly changing dramatically so the video framerate is all over the place. The fluctuations are random, they arent caused by explosions or higher intensity than normal events in the game. The only correlation I have found between the game and the usage spikes is it atleast seems like when I exit a vehicle the usage drops before climbing back up again, although this doesn't necessarily happen all the time and it happens without exiting a vehicle so that may just be random chance. I have a i5-2500k and run BF3 at 1920x1080 with a second 1600x900 monitor with chrome open so I shouldn't be bottlenecking anything. This computer has run perfectly for a year for me and the only thing I have recently upgraded is the power supply and the gpu. My psu is a 850w Corsair 80+ bronze so I don't have any shortage of power. Is this a normal thing for a Gtx 770 or is there something going on that can be fixed or is faulty with the card or power supply?
