Sup guys, well I finally came thru with my build and wanted to join this site since I will be doing some Overclocking and need some info on how to do it without burning out my cpu.

Here is my current mods.

Asus z87-a board
i5 4670k cpu
Stock Intel cooler (researching in getting water cooler; h80i or equivalent)
Crucial 16GB 1600 ram
evga gtx 760 video card
850w psu - corsair tx850m
cooler master storm scout 2 case.

So, I am debating on what cpu cooler to get... would like to order this soon... so I can overclock my cpu more. Shooting to get around 4.4 - 4.5Ghz

Right now, I overclocked the cpu at 4.0 Ghz, but the idle temp is a bit high for me.... it averages in the low 40s on idle and about 70 when playing games like LoL or WoW.

Any suggestions on which cooler to get? Need something that would work with my case, since I noticed that the 240mm radiators will NOT fit my case unless I alter the case...which would be my last resort. All I see that is workable is the h80i.

I did my research on the h80i, some were mixed reviews and others were positive. I've read on some topics about it and the h80i seems to have issues keeping temps below 80 degrees under max load. Is that true?

Hopefully I can find alternatives that would work for me instead of leaning towards the h80i.

Nice build!

If you can't fit a 240mm radiator in there, then I guess the h80i is the way to go.

You'll definitely be able to lower those temps at least a bit with some water cooling.
