E6400 & 680i

Thread Starter
Just picked up a BFG 680i MB today.

Anybody running the 6400/690i combo that could give me some ideas on bios overclock settings they have run stable at? so I have a realistic starting point to work from? I am running 800Mhz DDr2 RAM as well

Thanks in Advance.

Nice! That should overclock nicely. What kind of cooling do you have? How far are you willing to push it? What is your goal, GHz wise?

Not sure what I really want yet. Want to get it installed and benchit, and see where I am and then see where I want to go.

Cooling is a Zalman 7900 Air cooler. And I use a Stacker 820 case with very efficient cooling, my 7900GTX cards never exceed 45C under load, and the CPU on the asus board rarely saw heat.

ahhh no i was looking to see what type like the manufacturer of the chips like promos/micron/infineon and such

why are you getting new ram, you should be good with those unless they dont oc at all, i would atleast try them out before you get some new stuff they may perform pretty good

I am so happy with my system!

I have only OCed it to 2.6Ghz right now (without a hitch). There is a lot of settings I need to familarize myself with before I take it all the way. But right now this thing is incredible.
