3570k Increasing OC

Thread Starter
I am not sure why but my Prime95 test is passing for my new OC of 4.6Ghz. I was at 4.5Ghz. I run 2x670's. That should help out a little as the SLI is creating a bottleneck, right?

If you really want to feel a difference you should aim for 4.8g / 4.9g, but i dont know how your chip reacts to voltage biggrin.gif

It reacts very poorly. I think I am at a max because without doing the thermal paste on the core, once I hit 1.35v it is idling in the high 40s and maxing out in the high 80s.

I think you max out on 85c in stress test and still be safe, also because when gaming the temps will be allot lower.

Have you also tried tweaks as example Lowering the PLL voltage? Maybe smart to fully read a 3570k/3770k OC guide so maybe you can squeeze out another 100mhz thumb.gif

Yes, I have. And I will try to squeeze another 100mhz out of it once this passes. I am going to go up in steps and hopefully be at 4.8Ghz by the time BF4 comes out. smile.gif
